Hold Your Horse Is

Hold Your Horse Is consist of three chaps from Frimley and Fleet, arguably not the first place you’d look for your new favourite band, but where a lack of distractions exist an exciting music scene will often blossom, and this is certainly a case in point. Raised on a diet of local acts such as Reuben, Hundred Reasons, Meet Me In St Louis and Million Dead, their influence (along with inspiration from many bands further afield such as At The Drive-In and Refused) has clearly rubbed off on the threesome, helping meld them into one of the UK’s most energetic and interesting new bands.

Hold Your Horse Is

Having spent the past couple of years constantly touring the toilet circuit, as well as self- releasing a couple of singles and EP’s, DIY ethics are something these boys are raised on and hard work is certainly not something they’ll shirk away from, as evidenced by their 28 date tour last September with solo artist and labelmate Shoes And Socks Off. February saw them tour the UK again with Northern Irish rockers ‘Mojo Fury’.

Single ‘Forgive and Forget’ is the follow up to last year’s EP ‘Rammin’ It Home’, and is expected to appear on their forthcoming album, tentatively due for the end of 2011. Recorded by their favourite man/producer Gordon Mills in his tiny studio and with lyrics based around an episode of Jeremy Kyle, Hold Your Horse Is hope to impress with this aggressive yet catchy number which clocks in at just over three minutes.
